Ten Rules

Meg’s Top Power Googling Tips

 

#1 NEVER search from the main Google page always use advanced search

#2 Use the exact phrase field as often as possible

#3 Don’t repeat keywords in the all of the words that are also in the exact phrase field

#4 Skip the third field and use the without field to eliminate places like Amazon or Barnes if you are looking for activities for a book not to buy books

#5 Use the advanced image search, but never in front of students!

#6 Advance search your news and customize your news page

#7 Never use MapQuest again meet Google Maps take a look at your house from a satellite image

#8 Take a peek into the future by checking out the more section of Google Services

#9 Download free Google Tools including the Google toolbar and Google Desktop search to simplify your life

#10 Download Google Earth and take a magic carpet ride around the globe
