 hELtaj-LO!

This Hello is spelled out from letters people have posted to Flickr. By clicking on a letter the image changes to a new image. I picked the letters I liked and copied the html to my web site and posted this. This is from a neat little web site by "kastner" read the great story at the bottom. http://metaatem.net/words/

I have been using flickr with School Administrators to demonstrate how quickly a picture can go from a camera phone to the Internet. Now that demo grabs their attention. I am also investigating other ways Flickr could be used in education. I need to add more images to my Flickr page, things are a little lame right now! back to http://www.flickr.com/ log in and upload new images, back here is less than five minutes. Now I'll try to create a badge...

This is a Flickr badge showing public photos from megormi tagged with wine. Make your own badge here.

Back again in just a few minutes. That is amazing! I thought I would have trouble because my knowledge of html is weak at best, but they do all the hard work, I just clicked on the Code screen and pasted the code where the curser was. Now when I upload my friends can see images form our trip.

Let's see what else I can learn!

http://www.houserdesign.com/flickr/ Now check out all the amazing images. When I read the about I am ok until he starts talking about programming languages. I was trained as a teacher and do not seem to have the programming type of mind!

More investigation

Of course, back to Google! Check this out! http://www.marumushi.com/apps/flickrgraph/ Just imagine one of those photo display things with the clips sticking out to hold your pictures. Let me tell you, I need to rush out to a corner in cyber space and beg for some new friends to link to me. I think I am just old. Watch it this could be hard on your ego!

One last investigation before the boys leap off the school bus and the hard work of the day starts!

KrazyDad, you rock! http://krazydad.com/colrpickr/

Check this out! What a great tool to help students study various shades of a color, I love the slider on the side to go from dark to light!

That was fast I have time for one more!

http://www.randomchaos.com/games/fastr/ I was so into this game, I hated to leave. I finally figured it out and have to go catch the bus. Try it out! Put your name on top and and then start guessing what the pictures are, type as fast as you can. If you get the right word you will see how many points you receive and in the left of the screen you can see how you are doing against others. I have to investigate this one in more detail. I started with the link at the bottom to the hang man! Must run!
